About Faron Sawyer
Faron S. Sawyer is a broker and a member of the founding team of Abaco Cays Realty, Ltd. After four years in the real estate business, he decided to join this new and dynamic firm upon its creation in 2006.
Born in Snake Cay, Abaco and educated in Spring City at the Abaco Central High School, Faron spent almost all of his life in and around Abaco.
After school days he worked at Golden Harvest, a local supermarket. After finishing school, he went to work for Frederick’s Agency for three years, a customs brokerage firm. In early 1979, he spent three months in Nassau studying for his own Customs Brokerage License. Upon receiving his customs broker’s license, Faron opened his own customs brokerage firm, Arawak Agency.
In early 1980, Faron spent some time in Fort Lauderdale, Florida where he received his Aircraft Pilot’s License. He worked holidays and weekends for Abaco Air for several years and in 1987 opened his own aircraft charter company, Cherokee Air.
In 1996 Faron earned the U.S. Airline Transport Pilot rating (ATP) and also became a Certified Flight Instructor (CFII).
Faron also started a Fixed Base Operation (FBO) in 2003 at the Marsh Harbour International Airport.
He has always been involved in community service and currently serves as a volunteer Police Officer.
Faron is married to Claudia Sawyer. They will celebrate their twenty-ninth wedding anniversary in June 2009. Claudia has worked for Arawak Agency and Cherokee Air since their marriage. They have two daughters; Alicia and Ariel.
Faron’s personal interests include: diving, swimming and flying.

We are licensed by the U. S. Department of Transportation, as well as the Bahamian Transportation Department, with Bahamian Customs and Immigration based directly at our facility.
